Haiberg — Custom Multi-Website CMS

Background

Haiberg GmbH managed multiple client websites — each with its own codebase, its own deployment, its own hosting. Content changes required a developer. As the client base grew, maintenance overhead became unsustainable. The existing CMS had no true multi-website architecture from a single interface.

Challenge

The core requirement was technically demanding: a single frontend and a single backend codebase should support any number of websites with different domains and subdomains — fully dynamic, without redeployment for every new website. At the same time, the interface had to be as simple as WordPress for non-technical staff.

Solution

Development of a fully custom CMS with Nuxt 2 as frontend and Strapi as backend. The key feature: new websites with their own domain or subdomain are created directly from the admin panel — no code, no deployment. The architecture routes requests dynamically to the correct website configuration. Integrated: multi-blog, multilingual content, per-website SEO optimisation, complete user documentation.
