Flatticket — Austrian Online Ticketing System

Background

Austrian event organisers pay commission to external platforms for every ticket sold — often 7–12% per transaction. Plus: little control over customer data, no own communication, no clean accounting receipts. The solution was a complete in-house development — which demonstrates what I build for my clients.

Challenge

A complete ticketing system is more than a buy button: a public web shop with event pages, event dashboard with real-time insight, mobile QR scanner app for admission, automatic invoice issuance under Austrian VAT law and Stripe payment processing with automatic payout to event organisers — everything had to be production-ready and reliably functional under real conditions.

Solution

Complete SaaS platform with three core components: (1) Public web shop — organisers create events, buyers purchase tickets directly, without going through third-party platforms. (2) Event dashboard — real-time overview of sales, capacities and admission status. (3) Scanner app — admission staff scan QR codes on smartphones, validation in real time. Plus: automatic invoice issuance with VAT under Austrian law, Stripe Connect for direct payouts to event organisers.
